Neighbors:
The Cornwallis Hills Board of Directors and Communications Committee invite you to join a Cornwallis Hills Neighborhood Listserv (an email group that allows you to communicate with residents of Cornwallis Hills). Unlike NextDoor, this listserv will be available ONLY to residents of Cornwallis Hills. We will use this listserv for:
● communicating pertinent information such as reminders about changes to recycling/trash days, surveys such as the current Orange County Community Health Assessment, information about lost pets, inquiries about ride-sharing, etc.
● asking our neighbors for referrals related to home service professionals; sharing information about students/residents who provide babysitting, pet sitting, or yard work; or other supports
● building community by inquiring about neighbors who would like to walk in the early morning, sharing information about upcoming community activities in the neighborhood park, sending photos of wildlife spotted in the neighborhood, telling neighbors about your childrens’ Girl Scout cookie table or lemonade stand, announcing your yard sale or the freebies at the end of your driveway, etc.
No commercial solicitations will be allowed, although you may certainly respond with information about your business if a neighbor writes seeking that type of service. You may also share information about student fundraisers (like cookie and popcorn sales); students available in summers or over vacations for yard work, pet sitting, or similar; etc. We hope this will help residents to get to know one another better, provide support for our neighbors, and simply feel more connected as a community.
In addition, the Communications Committee is building a neighborhood directory to be shared with all participating residents in the form of a pdf file. If you are interested in joining, please use the same link to share your information to be included.
